A sophisticated five-bedroom villa gleams white among the green of pines and juniper, surrounded by a turquoise sea. This is your playground.

Evening is when Tagomago casts its spell. Dayboats that visit its rocky coast return to Ibiza. The only inhabited building on the island is the magnificent villa, you and your guests (and staff) are alone. For just ten guests, there is a divinely indulgent amount of space. The villa is spectacular and yet it has architectural integrity. Low, simple white walls and traditional stonework, it does not dominate its landscape. An abundance of terraces embraces the pattern of idyllic days, from the rising to the setting sun, spaces to relax on Balinese beds, to entertain, even to exercise in an outdoor fitness area overlooking the sea. The interior is almost achingly stylish and yet relaxing, the ambiance softened by windows out onto the wildness of nature, the scent of the breeze. White walls are set off by the elegance of a black slate floor, fine artwork and intriguing sculptures. Some of the furniture is art in itself but not at the expense of comfort. A cornucopia of toys from jet skis to sail power, paddle boards and canoes, and most other water sports in which you might indulge, is there for your amusement. The island has its captain to keep it all ship-shape. Every aspect of island living, including transport to and from nearby Ibiza, is meticulously taken care of by professionals. Welcome to paradise.

NEARBY BEACHES

  • Cala Llenya (6km)

This pretty little contoured beach with white sand is located within a fragrant valley of pine trees. The smooth, sparkling turquoise water of Cala Llenya make it ideal for swimmers of all levels of experience – as it’s quite shallow for a great distance, it’s a great place for kids to play. It’s also the perfect place to set up camp for the entire day, with picnic areas beneath the pine trees, plus resort-style beach restaurants offering something for everyone.

  • Cala Nova (6km)

One of the only beaches in Ibiza that can actually lay claim to providing conditions good enough to surf, the dramatic backdrop of Cala Nova is unspoilt and rustic with a long arc of dark golden sand surrounded by rocky red cliffs and pine-clad hills. While the water is quite shallow, it does have a tendency to have quite strong rips so take care when swimming.

  • Cala de San Vicent (11km)

A long, crescent-moon shaped beach made up of golden sand, crystal waters and a palm-tree lined promenade peppered with resort-style eateries and hotels. It’s impossible to feel anything but relaxed and in the moment at Cala San Vicente, perhaps due to the holiday hideaway feeling of seclusion created by being surrounded by cliffs and mountains.

NEARBY RESTAURANTS

  • Aiyanna Ibiza (6km)

Perfectly positioned on the unspoilt sandy shores of Cala Nova is beautiful Ibiza beach restaurant, Aiyanna Ibiza. Created by the team behind the hugely successful Amante Ibiza, the new sister concept boasts panoramic views overlooking the Mediterranean, with a contemporary, bohemian vibe punctuated with pops of vibrant colour. The cuisine concept at the Ibiza beach restaurant is a modern take on the traditional Mediterranean offerings, with bold, fresh flavours, organic local produce, superfoods and innovative sharing plates. • La Paloma (16km)

La Paloma, one of the island’s most loved restaurants is located in the centre of the island just above Santa Gertrudis. An Italian, family-run restaurant set in a traditional finca and pretty citrus garden with signature painted pale blue furniture. A delicious organic menu with fresh dishes of local products, ingredients from the vegetable garden and homemade bread. Tel. +34 971 32 55 43 | www.palomaibiza.com

  • Camí de Bàlafia (15km)

Wonderful local traditional restaurant, well known on the island for preparing simple but high-quality dishes. It has a lovely quiet terrace where you can enjoy meat dishes prepared on the grill with wood coals, the star of the restaurant. Ideal to enjoy pork chops, leg or shoulder of lamb, rabbit, free-range chicken, and ribeye or veal entrecote with tasty fried potatoes and a simple but delicious tomatoe and onion salad.
